Alexandra Beller was a member of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company from 1995-2001. She created Alexandra Beller/Dances in 2001 and, since then, has made over forty Dance Theater works which have been commissioned by and performed at Dance Theater Workshop, P.S.122, Aaron Davis Hall, Joyce SoHo, University Settlement, Danspace Project at St. Mark’s Church, Dixon Place, and HERE Art Space, as well as at Jacob’s Pillow and in Michigan, Massachusetts, California, Florida, Korea, Hong Kong, and Cyprus. She received her MFA from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee in 2006. More information about her work and company available at www.alexandrabellerdances.org

Elizabeth Goheen received her early classical ballet training at the National Academy of Dance in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. The diverse repertory she performed included the ballet classics, modern dance, and musical theatre. She has presented her own choreography in NYC venues sponsored by The Field, Dance Space/Dance New Amsterdam, Peridance Center, Williamsburg Arts Nexus, Soundance Studio, and Long Island University’s Faculty Concert. Beth teaches ballet technique at Dance New Amsterdam, as well as in the Professional Division of The Ailey School which includes a joint BFA program with Fordham University, in the BFA program of Long Island University/Brooklyn Campus Dance Department, and for Earl Mosley’s Institute of the Arts annual summer dance intensive.

Katiti King is currently on the faculties of both Dance New Amsterdam (since 1984) and Barnard College/Columbia University (since 1990) in New York City. Katiti has taught throughout Europe, South America, Canada, and Japan. Additionally, she has performed for many choreographers including Lynn Simonson, Adrienne Hawkins, Danny Sloane, Marlies Yearby, Sarah Pogostin, Guido Tuveri, and Kraig Patterson. Her collaborative works include choreography with Michael Foley and with vocalist/musician Philip Hamilton.

Nia Love has been dancing professionally for over thirty years. With her company, Blacksmith’s Daughter, she has created over fifteen dance works, presented in L.A., San Francisco, D.C., and throughout New York City—Lincoln Center, the Whitney Museum of American Art, Dance
Theater Workshop, Symphony Space, Dancing in the Streets, Aaron Davis Hall, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, 651 Arts, Judson Church, and Wave Hill. She has taught at Smith College, Sarah Lawrence College, Bates Dance Festival, and the University of Ghana. She performed and trained with Alicia Alonzo, Garth Fagan, Kevin Jeff, Pearl Reynolds, Bessie Schoenberg, Mary Day, Hasán Kunte, and Min Tanaka. diane

Diane McCarthy has been performing, teaching and choreographing throughout the U.S. and Europe for the past eighteen years. Her work has been presented in Holland, Spain, Canada, New York and Seattle, Washington. She gives workshops in Canada and Spain yearly and has been on faculty at various colleges and universities around the states including Manhattanville College, Hofstra University, MaryMount College, the Spence School, the Mark Morris Dance School in Brooklyn and Bates College in Maine. Diane has been on faculty at Dance New Amsterdam teaching Simonson Technique for 18 years.

Oliver Steele has performed with David Storey Dance Works, Scott Rink and Friends, and as a soloist for the Kevin Wynn Collection. He has also worked with choreographers Milton Myers, Andrew Asnes, Michael Foley, Ray Tadio, Charles Wright, Daniel Tinazzi, Richard Pierlon, John Evans and Nadia Tarr. In 1995, Mr. Steele co-founded Steeledance with his wife, Teri Lee Steele. His choreography has been commissioned and presented by North Carolina School of the Arts, Joyce Soho, Dance Theater Workshop, St. Mark’s Church, Downtown Dance Festival, Pace Downtown Theater, The Yard, Tribeca Performing Arts Center, and Dance New Amsterdam. Mr. Steele has taught in Germany, Japan, Italy, and Israel, as well as at Universities throughout the U.S.
